Capacity by Fermi
Phuture Doctors Studios was contracted by Fermi, an India-based ed-tech startup building interactive university-level STEM courses, to serve as an Executive Producer for the production of their courses.
The goal was to produce a rigorous, engaging quantum mechanics course filmed with Professor David Tong at Cambridge University from the ground up for asynchronous learning.
Challenge
Producing a 26-lecture university-level physics course for a brand new platform with no existing production infrastructure, coordinating an international effort across curriculum developers in the US and UK, leading physicists in London and Cambridge, and an ed-tech team based in India.
What I did
Built the end-to-end production infrastructure for Fermi's first course — timeline, workflow, budget, and contractor pipeline — from scratch. Scouted and onboarded UK-based production company Impress Video as the on-the-ground crew, handling camera, sound, and directing. Created all production schedules and served as the lead point of contact coordinating between Impress Video, the Fermi team, and talent. Coordinated a multi-week shoot at Cambridge, managing logistics including location bookings, talent scheduling, and catering. Oversaw a live studio audience casting process that drew 300+ applicants from UK university physics departments. Supervised post-production remotely, reviewing Impress Video's edits and providing detailed notes across all 26 lectures, serving as an editorial voice for final delivery. Managed the full production budget, including international vendor payments and talent payments, and led hiring, onboarding, and day-to-day management of all contractors across three countries.
What's next
The David Tong course is Fermi's pilot, and I continue to work with the team as we build toward a four-course launch by the end of 2026.
Deliverables
26 video lectures totaling approximately 13 hours of content, now live on the Fermi platform.
