Produced by STEMedia, “Why Am I Like This?” was a show created by PBS Digital Studios for their science YouTube channel, Terra. This eight-episode digital series was funded by the National Science Foundation to reach female and marginalized communities. This evolutionary biology show experimented with the format by explaining science through sketch comedy and breaking the fourth wall.

This was my first gig out of graduate school! I had the opportunity to play many roles in this show, ultimately landing me as the show’s showrunner.

The second episode of the series, “Where Does My Skin Color Come From?” won a Bronze Telly Award in 2023, in which I produced, co-wrote, directed, and animated.
